If you're here, you might be trying to figure out what to do next.
Special education can feel confusingābut you donāt have to navigate it alone.
Built by Danbury families and community members, this space is here to help us feel more supported and less alone while navigating special education, school systems, and local resources together.
About us
Vision
We envision a community where high expectations for services and support are the norm, where families have equitable access to clear and reliable information, and where every student with special education needs has the opportunity to thrive.
Mission
Our mission is to foster a supportive, connected community of parents and caregivers of students with special education needs, equipping families with accessible resources, shared knowledge, and meaningful partnerships so no one navigates the journey alone.
Core Values & Guiding Principles
- Community: No family navigates special education alone
- Access: Information and resources should be clear, accessible and culturally responsive
- Collaboration: Strong partnerships between families, educators, and community
- Empowerment: Families are experts on their children and powerful advocates
- Respect: We honor diverse experiences, identities and learning needs
Transparency:
Knowledge about rights, processes and opportunities should be shared openly
